Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups half-and-half
- 1/2 cup crushed pecans
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons butter
- A pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
- In a heavy saucepan, whisk the dark corn syrup, brown sugar, cornstarch, egg yolks, and salt. Place over medium heat, and bring the mixture to boil, stirring constantly. Boil one minute or just until thickened. Remove from heat.
